Events Around Town!

So much is happening this week now that summer has finally arrived!

Today is National Aboriginal Day, celebrating the culture and contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples of Canada. Lots of stuff happening around Vancouver in celebration. From storytelling and film screening (of Cedar and Bamboo and The Spirit has No Colour) at the Vancouver Public Library, to a Buffalo burger lunch and arts and crafts at Trout Lake and entertainment, ceremonies and food at Oppenheimer Park

If you’re in the Gastown area today, there is the Fete de la Musique Festival today from 5-10pm where bands of all genres will be playing live in the streets. Also kicking off this Friday to start your first summer weekend, is the annual Jazz Festival running June 24th to July 3rd

Finally, for something more food related, the Local Fresh Food Market is having its Grand Opening this Saturday, June 25th. Local Fresh Food Market is all BC grown and made. SOLEfood has been added to the supplier list for the market, so if you miss us at the farmers market, you can find our veggies there. Also, we are now at the Kitsilano Farmers Market on Sundays, 10am-2pm!
